"If a child is to keep his inborn sense of wonder, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement, and mystery of the world we live in."

-Rachel Carson

Your Role

As an adult we act as bridges for our children.  We give them access to new and exciting places.  It is important to get young children interested and active in the outdoors.  Our goal with outdoor education is to be that bridge for children, and to show them the wonderful world that is nature.  By introducing children to the wonder of nature while they are still young we can tap into the unbridled curiosity of youth.  This leads to a life long relationship with the outdoors.  As adults we have a duty to help nurture this curiosity and help it grow.  I welcome and encourage you to get outside with your children.  Explore the unknown and even get a little dirty.
